It is ideal for individuals who want the dual benefit of life cover and savings, offering flexibility to choose your sum assured, policy term, premium payment term, and death benefit payout option.

You can customize the plan based on your goals, budget, and responsibilities — ensuring both peace of mind and financial balance.

How does the SUD Life Smart Term Return of Premium (STROP) Plan Work?

01.
Life Coverage and Policy Term

Decide how much protection you need (minimum ₹50 lakhs and above, subject to underwriting) and select a policy term between 15 and 40 years based on your long-term goals.

Select Your Premium Payment Option

Pay premiums regularly throughout the policy term or for a fixed duration. You can choose from Regular Pay, 7 years, 10 years, or 15 years premium payment terms.

Customize Your Death Benefit Payout Option

Choose how your family will receive the benefit:

Lump Sum: Entire benefit paid at once, ideal for clearing major financial liabilities.

Monthly Income: 1% of the death benefit paid every month for 125 months (over 10 years).

Lump Sum + Monthly Income: 50% of the death benefit paid immediately, and 0.5% every month for 125 months.

You can change this option anytime during the policy term. If your beneficiary prefers to receive the remaining income as a lump sum later, the discounted value of the balance will be paid at 4.75% p.a.

Life Coverage

In the unfortunate event of death during the policy term, your nominee receives the higher of:

  • 10X Annualized Premium, or
  • 105% of Total Annualized Premiums Paid, or
  • Sum Assured on Death (as chosen at inception)

Return of Your Premiums Back at Maturity

If you survive till the end of the policy term, you receive 100% of the total premiums paid — giving you the reassurance that your investment is fully returned.
